Egbert & Max. (sie germans!)

Dorothea, Egbert and Max were in the States this past week to visit from Germany.
Luckily enough, our schedules aligned for one afternoon so I met Egbert and Max on their gorgeous property in town and photographed them.

There's something so attractive about the German culture to me...maybe because I am German? or because I lived there? It is in my five year goal plan to get back to Germany and live there.
Stoked!

These guys were great. It was a beautiful day! Beautiful models! Beautiful light!

mmmmm!!

Family Portraits.

If you have been outside at all lately, you have (maybe) noticed that it is GORGEOUS out! Everything: colour, foilage, temperature, cloud diffusion, all of it. With all of these things combined, it is the perfect time for portraits of all sorts!

On Saturday I was able to get out and photograph the Brown family.
It was awesome! I love family dynamics. I come from a big Italian family (my mom is one of nine kids) and we are all wild and loud. So...being around families is a reaaaaally nice thing for me.

If you are interested in booking a family portrait session, email me asap!

Today I got a massage and all I could think about were the new business card designs I have in my head.

THE FLOCK APPAREL

Ah!
My life has been non-stop as of late.

This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of traveling to Charlotte, NC to shoot for The Flock Apparel, right downtown Charlotte! We set up lights, a white background, and a dressing room on the corner of Trade and Tryon and shot without stopping from 5pm-9pm. It was awesome! Not to sound braggy, but I made this INSANELY incredible playlist that we had going through an amp during the shoot. And...one of my best qualities are my playlists.

Needless to say, it was a huge success.

FIFTY-EIGHT MODELS.
58. 58. 58. That is a lot!

I would like to take this time to introduce you to Cigi, the woman behind the Flock, who makes everything happen:

More photos will be posted, but I like this image series so much that I wanted it to be the only photo in this post.
Lovely times! Crazy times! Face-splitting grin times!

Let me tell you a little about Cigi: she is a Godly woman who understands the value of hard work. She works her butt off and it is getting her places. She is great with people and understands fashion (which I can appreciate because I wear sweatpants and leggings most days).

This is how she describes herself, and all members of the Flock (which is everyone!):

Check her out. Big things are coming. Right there on the horizon! Get ready and giddy up!

Garmon, Christopher.

It's time to meet Christopher Garmon.
I'm rooting for him to be my new neighbor and move downtown next to me. He also is August's personal, and best, caretaker/friend when I have to go out of town.

Check out these red booties. Suuuper cool! They are canvas, they slip right on, they are flat, and they are comfortable.
I bought them in Charlotte, NC at a amazing boutique called NICHE (where my girl with the F L O C K A P P A R E L sells her clothing).

It was pretty drizzly for the entirity of this shoot. It made me think of Ryan Adams a lot. Him and I have been hanging out quite a bit as of late.
Mmmm...Ryan Adams...
one of my favourite lines in any song "she stabs me with her eyes, dirty knives hidden in her dress..."

ok...back to editing wonderful wedding photos....mmmm!!!

test shots from this morning,

in order to prep for a shoot that i have tomorrow, i shot my room-mate jeff.

let me tell you a little about jeff-
he moved in while i was out in WA this summer. we (my other room-mates) were all pretty worried about him because we didn't know a thing about him, and he was going to be moving in.
turns out- he's awesome.

he is growing this mustache ( i love mustaches! ) and it is looking pretty good.
(i acutally think he shaved it after we took these photos...)
